How to Play

Play Daily Mahjongg online for free. Daily Mahjongg is a Mahjongg Solitaire game where you get a different board to play each day of the year. Finish each stage as quickly as you can. Use the calendar to play days you missed or replay prior levels you know you could do better on. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the Play button toward the lower left of the welcome screen to play today’s game.
- Your web browser automatically saves your game data including which stages you have beat and what your best times were on each.
- To the right of the Play button are buttons for how to play Help and More games.
- The upper left corner of the welcome screen has a language select dropdown.
- The lower right corner of the welcome screen has 3 buttons for game settings, social media sharing, and reading game developer information.
- Game Controls
  - Desktop
    - Use your mouse left click button to select an open stone & then select an identically matching open stone to pair them off.
    - Touchscreen devices
      - Tap the screen with a finger to select an open stone & then select an identically matching open stone to pair them off.
      - Controls & indicators
        The right rail of the game contains the controls.
        At the top the game shows the date of the puzzle being played, your total play time, and your best play time. Below that it shows which tile you current have selected, how many stones remain on the board, and how many open stone pairs are available.
        Next there are buttons for taking hints, shuffling the tiles, pausing the game, and restarting the level.
        At the bottom there are buttons for music control, sound control, and full screen mode.
        Game Play
        Stone matching
        Identical
        In most cases you must match identical stones. The only exceptions are season and flower tiles.
        Seasons can be matched with any other season stone. Seasons have red numbers in the upper right.
        Flowers can be matched with any other flower stone. Flowers have blue numbers in the upper left.
        Open
        You can only match free stones.
        A free stone is one which does not have any stone directly atop it and at least one side (left or right) is open.
        In this game free stones have a lighter background color, while stones that are not free have a grayed out background color.
        You can only select open stones.
        When you select one its border turns blue and it is shown on the right side of the game.
        When you select a second stone if it matches the first stone the pair is removed from the board.
        If the second stone does not match the first stone then the first stone is deselected.
        Levels
        This game offers a unique board for each day.
        When you complete the current day you can play the next puzzle from the next day, or you can use the calendar to pick any other day to play boards from, including playing recently missed days or a board you did not score as well as you would like to score on.
        Scoring
        Each individual day is scored separately.
        You are scored based on how long the puzzle takes you to complete.
        Using hints adds 10 seconds to your play time.
        Using shuffles adds 20 seconds to your play time.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjongg Solitaire tile match games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
